First of all, the activities that will please everyone :
- Painting an azulejo, Lisbon’s famous tile.
- Visiting Lisbon in Hop On Hop Off whether by bus or boat.
- Take the famous tram 28, picturesque and matchless.
- Take the amazing Lisbon cable car which offers a panoramic view of the estuary and is just a stone’s throw from the aquarium.
- The Lisbon museums such as the Puppet Museum or the interactive Lisboa Story Centre.
- Cross the Tagus by ferry and visit the frigate Dom Fernando II e Glória. This should appeal to boys who dream of being Peter Pan ! You can also simply privatise a sailboat and explore the estuary.
- Take a tour of Lisbon on a hippotrip, the amphibian bus.
- Surrender to the famous pastel de nata that you can find on every street corner.
- Take in the street-art or make some with us with a professional artist.
- Go to Sintra and explore the mysterious gardens of Quinta da Regaleira.
It is also necessary to think about keeping kids more specifically involved :
- Go to the Lisbon Oceanorium, considered to be the largest in Europe and in the top 3 in the world. Beware, as soon as it rains, it’s the number 1 plan for hundreds of families : having a ticket « skip the line » is the best idea you’ll have if the opportunity comes up.
- Play hide-and-seek with the children in the typical streets of Alfama.
- The youngsters will love to visit the Estádio da Luz, the soccer stadium of the legendary Benfica club.
- Go to the Lisbon zoo.
- Visit the hot and cold greenhouses of the Eduardo VII Park.
- Eat sweets at Papa Bubble.
These fun activities can be done without any restrictions. They are part of Lisbon’s charm.
Portugal is a small country where you can easily discover it in a few days. The roads are good and safe.
