Updates on regulations relevant to your travel can be found on the official IATA website.
Portugal requires every traveller arriving by air to have a negative covid test (PCR < 72h or antigenic < 24h) if you do not have a vaccination or recovery certificate. The health pass with two shots taken less than 270 days ago is still valid. As sanctions against airlines are binding in case of non-control (20000 € per uncontrolled passenger, threat of loss of license), don't take this new measure lightly.
Mandatory in public transport and hospitals. Not compulsory in other close spaces or outside.
The cheapest RT-PCR tests are with the Portuguese Red Cross (€60 p.p) but you have to book well in advance (use the chrome browser to avoid bugs). The fastest (± 2h delay) with Biosurvit but the cost is substantial (€135 p.p). Note that these test centres are located outside the city centre. After Saturday noon, it is very difficult to get tested in Lisbon.
For those who book a tour of Lisbon with us, we will guide them to do a test in the historical centre and at a fair price.
For antigen tests, an appointment must be made in advance at a pharmacy. A test costs between 15 and 30 euros. Make sure that the result has a stamp and a signature. You can also get tested in the city centre squares of Praça do Rossio and Praça da Figueira (test centres housed in containers). Expect to queue.
As a last minute alternative : do a test at the airport 3 hours before your departure (test centre in the basement of terminal 1). Contact at the airport : 00 351 910 728 308.
